Weekend Warriors Review
I have not finished the book yet, but from what I have read, I love it. I like the books by Fern Michaels, but was a little reluctant in buying it at first because I was thinking it was going to be another romance novel and I really didn't want romance novels because of late I am more into the mystery/suspense. I am so glad I did purchase it. I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in the series. Midway through the book I am already deciding who I like. Almost cried in the beginning when Barbara was killed. The fact that it is women out to get revenge makes it even better. There is a problem with the justice system, it doesn't always work, so the idea of vigilantism with women taking the problem in their own hands makes it even better.

Weekend Warriors Overview
An idea is born, and within months Myra and Nikki have drawn together a group of women who have one thing in common: they have been failed by the American justice system, they're down but they're not out, and they're ready to find their nemeses and make them pay. First up is Kathryn, a long-distance truck driver who was raped at a road stop by three motorcyclists as her paralysed husband watched, helpless. Banding together, the Sisterhood plot the ultimate revenge -- but with dissension from inside the group and out, there's no saying if the plan will work until the moment of truth arrives.

Disapointed - Lori - Naples, FL

I will not continue with this series. Stories are too far fetched.
EXCELLENT START FOR AN ENGAGING SERIES - Joseph Yeater - Hampton, GA USA
Page turning start for a series of guilty pleasure readings. Characters with interesting back stories keep you caring what happens to each of the "girls". Secondary participants are equally adept at keeping you turning pages with fairly witty dialogue (with NO GRATUITOUS SEX!! yea!!) and involving scenarios. Of course, the plots are far fetched, but who cares? This is a fun read and the continuing saga promises to be equally entertaining.
shame-ful - M. White - Albia, IA United States
This book was crap! It makes me SICK & ANGRY that the majority of its reviews glorify it. That it's dubbed not-for-the-faint-of-heart. That my friends loved it. That they thought-lessly recommended it to me with declarations of how "awesome" this series was! What kind of sheep have we become, that we accept this error riddled TRASH that is void of sensible plot or character development, we call this a novel?
This is a rape/revenge "novel" THAT SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY A FIFTH GRADER! I literally felt my I.Q. plummeting as I read this book. I didn't feel that the author had any REAL concept of rape or of revenge. Rape is ugly, disturbing, horrendous, sickening, brutal, and painful. Never delight-ful or entertaining as some reviews have described Weekend Warriors. This book's de-value-ing, sugar-coated, juvenal treatment of it is shame-ful. With the obscene amount of money seemingly at the disposal of the characters, it would have made more sense if they had just hired Batman to go exact their revenge for them, perhaps he comes in to play later in the series(?)!!
Forever-more I will cringe and shutter with disgust when the name Fern Michaels is uttered in my presence.
