The novel starts out with a bang and maintains the pace. I enjoyed the tight style and voice. I'll definitely be buying the full novel when it comes out.

Have been a fan of Konrath's since he started his Jack daniels series and I have enjoyed everyone. I even like, and have, all the short stories about the characters. Very good and very funny. Shaken seems to fall in line with a thrill ride. If the rest of the book is anything like the teaser it should be a great ride. Looking forward to getting the whole book and the series continuing.

SHAKEN features a tight writing style, which wastes none of the reader's time in moving the plot forward action-wise (particularly with the "timing" of the plot -- check it out to see for yourself). Police officer Jack Daniels is also a terrifically well-rounded character (evident from the teaser chapters). SHAKEN looks like it's gonna be a gripping, captivating mystery that packs a wallop. I look forward to October when I'll be able to read the book in its entirety!
